9-27-11 Get a clue!
CONTEXT CLUES was the focus of today's lesson. Throughout the year, students will learn and practice using many reading strategies however, context clues are the most important. I explained to the students understanding the types of context clues and how to identify them in sentences will allow them to be better readers in all classes and all outside reading they do and most importantly, it is a skill they can do on their own. We had a lesson today on this today and started identifying and working with the concept. THURSDAY THERE IS A QUIZ on connotation, denotation and context clues.
