Ms. Kaufman wanted to give us the purpose for this writing genre. She said that , writing is the basic skills that go through your educational carrer and in life. You will write personal narritives in college. The state of michigan sets standards to follow. To recive a grade that will help you pass the class. Lastly, you will see writing personal narritves in the MEAP.Quality!! We continued more discussion on what quality work looks like. Students gave ideas of what quality will look like in the personal narritives. Ms. Kaufman had us set our own expectations by writing down and turning in 3 ways we are committed to showing quality work. Some ideas given by student were proper spacing, neatness, grammer, details, spelling, strong verbs, descriptive attributes, and hooks. Tweet Tweet....We have a new hashtag of #eng8quality. Ms. Kaufman said to tweet a personal example where we did quality work.She said her example was completing her college thesis paper and when she painted her house over this past summer. The lessons we took notes on today was relevance and she gave an example of: Ilost 50 dollars and my friends helped me find the money. Notes also on story boarding: storybording skills- telling the story's main events with words and pictures in chronological order.
