Today really rocked! Each learning style group taught the class about "plot" in a way specific to their learning style. For example, the "word" group wrote a rhyming poem and shared and the "body" group taught the class a chant and movements in order to learn. For the very first learning style project, I am super excited with the turn out. Not only did students have to work in groups, learn the material, teach the class, work on speaking skills but also, they did a self-assessment to reflect on their effort and contribution and came up with a plan to improve. They "owned" their effort. I love that!
Brain Boost: Afternoon Lazy
Growth Mindsets: students continued their learning about having a "growth mindset" by writing down today's quote in their mindset logs: "Say I will NOT I can't!" We have to get our mindset before we can get to any learning!
Fun: students watched a 1 minute video demonstrating the "Growth Mindset" of the day....I will (survive)! :)
I will survive video
Homework: prepare for vocabulary quiz on Friday. The quiz will include vocabulary words from Raymond's Run and part of plot.
