5/10-5/14

We read up to page 386 this week in The Diary of Anne Frank.  We finished act I scenes 1-5 and took two selection tests along the way.  Books were allowed on the selection test and all students were instructed to write the written response at the end.  Unit 14 test was on Thursday and we finished up the movie, Radio.  All of the vocabulary bookwork was graded and the percentage was taken.  This week in grammar we looked at misplaced and dangling modifiers, as well as, sentence fragments and run-ons.  In the grammar packet the students worked on pages 107, 779, 109-111 and for Monday is 114 and 115.  NOTE:  we are on the last unit of vocabulary which is 15.  The mastery test units 13-15 will be for extra credit and taken during homeroom times.  A half-point will be awarded for every question right which could equal 25 bonus points.  The last reading log will be due June 1st which is a Tuesday.
