Here is the "replacement" book activity for students who did not turn in their independent reading for November, December or both.

Replacement Book Report

(to replace the points lost from November and or December independent reading due to incompletion)

Due: by February 28^th  

Directions:  you must read a novel (not the one you are currently using for trimester 2 marking period) and complete one of the following projects.  Full points will be determined based on completeness and creativity and quality.  In addition, I must be able to tell that you have read the book!

1.       Design an advertising campaign to promote the sale of the book you read.  Include each of the following:  a poster, radio commercial, a magazine ad, a bumper sticker and a button.

2.       Design a poster to advertise your book.  It must be 3D and Moveable.

3.       Draw and color a comic book to summarize your book.  Minimum of 10 pages.

4.       Write a diary that one of the story’s main characters might have kept before, during or after the book’s events.  Remember that the character’s thoughts and feelings are very important in a diary.
