In today's "Caught Ya" bell work students located over 10 mistakes and learned how to know when to use who or whom. And from yesterday's learning did a great job locating the compound sentence and explain the comma rule involved and how to tell if it is a compound sentence along with learning how to punctuate the title in the caught ya.
As an extension activity, students partnered up and completed a worksheet to practice punctuating titles with either quotations or underlining.
Vers or vert: today was the quiz over these prefix/suffix. Tuesdays are our quiz day! We are moving on to our last list of prefix/suffix words!
HOMEWORK: bring in a magazine picture (or related) that shows action. This will be used in a writing lesson!
