9-14-11 Favorable or Unfavorable? Literal or Figurative?

Students were shown the interactive website that they can use to dig deeper in the understanding of each unit of vocabulary units.  I explained the value of the flashcard section and how it would help them.  We took a closer look today at tools that will help to make meaning of words we don't know in text.  We practiced and discussed Denotation and Connotation, Literal and Figurative and Synonym and Antonym.  Tomorrow more about context clues!
