Just Getting Started

So far we have taken a grammar pre-test, vocabulary pre-test, reading level indicator and starting tomorrow a beginning of the year pre-write.  All the the beginning of the year assessments will estbalish a starting point to compare to the end of the year and measure growth.  Students have also been reviewing sentences through grammar practice identifying complete sentences, types of sentences with proper punctuation and indicating parts of sentences such as predicates and subjects.  Homework:  to design on blank paper a tip of how to be a successful student.  This paper will go up on our classroom bulletin board...be creative and neat and give a good idea!
