Tuesday 2/2/10

We spent the hour in the computer lab working on two things:  the blog and photostories.  Ms. Kaufman started the class by reminding the class what the focus of the novel project is and answering any questions.  She reminded the class to post a comment to the new post based on The Giver. Some kids are having problems now getting on the blog and Ms. Kaufman has been trying to figure out why..........she said that Wednesday, help will be on the way...YEAH!  In the meantime, students are asked to look at the post and send an email to her to comment on that post.  Ms. Kaufman said she really likes how the twittering seems to add some "familiness" to our class community and some tweets have been really impressive........keep thinking guys! Ms.Kaufman reminded the class to have the rest of Giver read by Monday as well as complete the packet that goes with.  Friday there will be a test over what we've been studying in grammar:  pronouns and polite order. Vocabulary continues........we are on unit 9.  Synonyms and antonyms are due on Wed., Choosing the Right Word is due on Thursday and Complete the Sentence and Vocabulary in Context is due on Friday.
