Class Business 1-25-10
Today in class we graded our vocab book for completing the sentance and for vocab in context. We also took time to take the percents for the whole unit. We then went over a job for a student that is called a SCRIBE. We have got a paper that says what this job is and what the requirements are to do this job well. This paper also says that are class is not the only people who can see this. One other paper that we got today is called Personal Clues for vocabulary and it is due Friday, January 29. On this paper there is three different thing that need to be filled out. One is the vocab word. The next one is a personal clue to help you understand the word, it is called personal clue and when you fill this out it is from personal experience. Like Mrs.Kaufman told us two experiences one about her son Isaac who liked to sit on the whoopee cushions in the stores (antics) and one about when she went to the car wash and it was -14 and she then figured out that it was to cold and pulled out and then her car was a gaint ice cube (detriment). Then she let us go off in our groups and think of our own experances. After she lets us share our examples with the class. After we all got our laughs we read Chapter 9 in the Giver.
